The Charity of Light Fund
founded some 12 years ago under the supervision of Rabbi Yehuda Kroizer SHLIT"A and with the endorsement of leading Rabbis in Israel, has been helping needy families in and around Jerusalem and Yesha.
Due to the economic crisis and in the wake of the very serious war that has been going on now for sometime against the Arab enemy, families have been hit very hard and are finding it very difficult to survive and feed their families. Bereaved families, settlements that have suffered disaster, and a very difficult economic situation. Families that cannot travel the roads now, cannot get to work, are in dire straits. They have come to depend on the Charity of Light Fund for their food supplies, loans, and other vital necessities Charity of Light Fund distributes food, vital supplies, tractors, protective equipment, generators, clothing, and winter gear to families in Israel in general and in Judea and Samaria in particular.
Weekly distribution of food packages Every week we distributes food packages and other assistance throughout Jerusalem and the settlements, from our storefront in downtown Jerusalem. Today, with the tough economic times, many of the needy have come to depend on the Charity of Light Fund.
To ease the burden on the families,.Charity of Light Fund has taken upon itself to purchase amusement park equipment to distribute FREE of charge to the settlements on a rotating basis. This portable amusement park will, G-d willing, travel from settlement to settlement to provide hours of release and enjoyment for the children and their parents. Let's put the smile back on the children's faces!
The Charity of light Fund is in its second year of planting fruit trees for the Jews in Yesha in order to help them stand financially on their own feet and to strengthen the settlements. As of now, we have planted thousands of fruit trees in various settlements and have made a difference in the people's lives there. The fruit trees of Israel have always represented prosperity, ownership and peace, and today it is no different. The Talmud teaches us that when the fruit trees of Israel will once again give off their fruits, there is no surer sign that the Redemption of the Jewish people is at hand! And of course, the complete funding for the women's hostel comes from the Charity of Light Fund. Our hostel, located in Jerusalem, houses, protects and gives the women a chance to get back on the right road in life. The monthly upkeep costs are great, Help us to save Jewish lives!
